Day 5 Besalú and Girona
Our first visit today is the enchanting medieval village of Besalú with its narrow cobblestone streets, ancient stone buildings and bridge, all on the doorstep of the beautiful scenery of a nature reserve. Our next stop is the surprising city of Girona which also has a maze of winding cobbled streets as well as a magnificent cathedral and the Eiffel bridge which was built just before the Tower in Paris. If you are a Game of Thrones fan you may recognise some of the sites from series 6!
Day 6 Tossa de Mar
An excursion to the nearby resort of Tossa de Mar, a former fishing village which attracted artists to its lovely location, one of the most spectacular settings of the Costa Brava. Take time to discover the crooked narrow streets of the enchanting old town or spend time at the beach. If you are feeling energetic a walk up to the lighthouse offers spectacular views of the coastline.
