Some of England’s most famous painters were inspired by Suffolk’s picturesque villages and unspoilt coastline, and it’s easy to see why.
Enjoy a guided tour of Suffolk’s pastel-coloured towns and villages, whose timber-framed houses and thatched roofs make this area so unique.
We will also have a guide join our coach for a journey amongst the creeks and marshes of the Essex Coast to the glorious medieval port of Maldon and the beautiful coastal town of Burnham on Crouch. Hear the smugglers’ tales from long ago when Rum, Gin and other goods were secretly brought ashore.
Monday: We depart the Travel Centre this morning and make our way to Colchester with a stop en route, arriving at the hotel late afternoon.
Tuesday: Today we visit the delightful medieval market town of Saffron Walden for the weekly market. We then make our way to the Jacobean mansion, Audley End House & Gardens with its ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped gardens.
Wednesday: This morning we board the coach and join our guide for a tour around Essex Smugglers coast.
Thursday: Today we join our guide for a tour of Suffolk’s pastel-coloured towns and villages.
Friday: We bid a fond farewell to the hotel staff this morning as we make our way back to Hugglescote, with a stop for en route.
