Tenby is a town steeped in ancient history surrounded by an imposing medieval stone wall. Through the passages of time Tenby has seen many changes but it has been on the leisure map for over 200 years. And with all that experience the people of Tenby certainly know how to offer each and every visitor an unforgettable time.

A delightful little town and seaside resort with overlooking a scenic boat-filled harbour,

Sunday: We depart the Travel Centre this morning and make our way to Tenby with a stop en route. We aim to arrive at the hotel late afternoon.

Monday: We depart the hotel this morning and our first stop is at the small town of Kilgetty to visit a family-run glassware producer, where there are usually displays of traditional glassblowing. We then continue to Haverfordwest, set in the Pembroke National Park on the River Cleddau.  This is a former port town in the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, with a 12th century castle and priory ruins.

Tuesday:  We take a boat trip to Caldey Island (weather permitting) which has been inhabited for many centuries by various orders of monks. There are a variety of churches on the island ranging from the Abbey Church where the monks conduct their seven daily services, but explore a little further an you will discover the Old Priory with its old limestone church. On the far side of the island you can walk to the lighthouse and enjoy the spectacular views, look out for the Atlantic Grey Seals and other birds and wildlife.

Wednesday: Today is your free day in Tenby.

Thursday: We bid a fond farewell to the hotel staff as we head back this morning to Hugglescote, arriving back late afternoon.
