A warm Yorkshire welcome awaits you at this traditional seaside resort, said to be Britain’s first seaside destination. The resort has retained the charm and style established in its Victorian heyday and it’s no wonder visitors have been holidaying in here for over 360 years.
There is plenty to do in Scarborough, with a bustling harbour, wonderful promenade and popular shopping area.
Monday: We depart the Travel Centre this morning and make our way to Scarborough with a stop en route. We aim to arrive at the hotel late afternoon.
Tuesday: Today we take a railway ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
Wednesday: Today we head for Scarborough Fair Collection for a Wurlitzer Afternoon Tea Dance. The afternoon will feature a wide selection of well-known tunes from various decades, all played on the mighty Wurlitzer. Even if you don’t dance you will enjoy the music and a look around this fascinating collection of memorabilia.
Thursday: Today is your free day to explore Scarborough at leisure.
Friday: We bid a fond farewell to the hotel staff as we head back to Hugglescote, arriving back in Hugglescote late this afternoon.
