A Journey by rail through France to the charming Italian resort of Diano Marina on the beautiful Riviera of Flowers. Nestled on a sheltered, sweeping, bay enjoying a mild climate on the sparkling Mediterranean coast of Italy, this area is known for its abundance of flora and fauna.

Day 1 Diano Marina
Departing the travel centre in the early morning, we make our way to London St Pancras where we join the Eurostar to Lille and an onward highspeed train to Nice.
On arrival in Nice, we join a local coach for the transfer to our hotel in the resort of Diano Marina, over the border in Italy and enjoy a light supper.
Day 2 Diano Marina
Today is free to enjoy the lovely resort of Diano Marina. Situated on the Italian Riviera in a bay with a mild climate and sheltered by the the mountains, this resort really is the pearl of the Riviera with its lovely long promenade alongside a fine sandy beach which is ideal for a relaxing stroll to the town and harbour.
The nearby hilltop medieval village of Cervo is a local bus ride away.
We enjoy evening meal at the hotel tonight.
Day 4 Dolceacqua
After breakfast this morning we make our way by coach into the hills and visit the little village of Dolceacqua, one of the most spectacular in the Nervia Valley . Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, the village has an abundance of tall ancient houses, narrow paved street and small courtyards, filled with little shops selling the local olive oil and wine. The Village’s medieval humpback bridge was painted by Monet in the 19th Century.
After our time in the hills, we return to our hotel for dinner in the evening
Day 3 Menton
Today sees a hop over the border into France and the colourful citrus town of Menton on the Cote D’Azur. This colourful town is surrounded by Lemon and Orange groves with a backdrop of spectacular mountain scenery. It really is picture postcard pretty with a lovely combination of turquoise blue sea, pastel coloured houses a little harbour and medieval old town.
Enjoy exploring this vibrant resort with its world class gardens before returning to our hotel for our evening meal.
Day 5 Portofino
This morning we set off by coach to Santa Margherita where we take a ferry for the 15 minute journey to the charming little fishing village of Portofino. Frequented by the jet set, this lovely harbour is filled with pastel coloured houses and the square (or Piazetta) is the perfect place to relax and watch the boats in the harbour. The little narrow streets are lined with boutique style shops and after some time to stroll around we will return to our hotel.
Evening meal is at the hotel tonight.

Day 7 Return
An early breakfast this morning before we say farewell to our hosts and make our way by coach Nice station where we join the highspeed French train to Paris and onward connecting Eurostar to London St Pancras
In Paris we will have a coach transfer between stations and on arrival in St Pancras we will meet our coach for the journey back to the Travel centre.
