The Black Country Living Museum is a remarkable place to explore, enjoy and spend time.Set in a landscape of 26 acres, it is one of the most extraordinary open-air museums in the UK; offering a glimpse into 200 years of history like no other.

You will hear the story of a very special time and place in history and some of the most hard-working, ingenious and influential people in Britain's history. Black Country folk changed the world, and you will see examples in the canalside village, tramway and underground mine,

Over fifty authentic shops, houses and workshops have been carefully reconstructed to preserve the character of the region when its manufacturers bought worldwide fame to Black Country Towns.


An incredible journey back in time. 

For the next four years, Black Country Living Museum will be commemorating the centenary of WW1 with a host of activities, research and collections.
