Sheringham Park is famous for its wonderful collection of Rhododendrons.
The last owner, before the park was passed to the National Trust, would hold rhododendron champagne parties in the 1950s to show them off.
Today, you can climb the top of the tower to experience breath-taking views of this beautiful landscape. Look out for the wildlife, 3 species of deer can be seen along side a variety of birds and butterflies.
Monday: We depart the Travel Centre this morning and head for Wells-next-the-Sea, one of the most attractive towns on the North Norfolk Coast. Wander to the gentle harbour with small fishing boats, past the shops on Staithe Street with not a chain store in sight. We then make our way to our hotel.
Tuesday: This morning we board the coach for a ride on the North Norfolk Railway, also known as the Poppy Line. There will be some free time in Sheringham, with the afternoon spent visiting Sheringham Park for a 1 hour guided walk seeing the Rhododendrons and Azaleas. We leave late afternoon and head for the hotel.
Wednesday: We bid a fond farewell to the hotel staff this morning, we visit Sandringham House & Gardens before returning to Hugglescote late this afternoon.
